The Armstrong Spallumcheen Medical Equipment Loan Cupboard, as we know it today, was established on May 22, 2008 when local volunteers stepped up after the Red Cross moved to Vernon.  Generous donations from Armstrong/Spallumcheen residents, businesses and organizations replenished the equipment and funds needed to continue this important service.

All these great folks have been a wonderful ongoing help with the costs of running the Loan Cupboard.  Even though everyone working at the Loan Cupboard volunteers their time and energy, and the facilities are supplied rent-free by the Armstrong Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation Department, there are still costs such as insurance, phone, and supplies for the cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.
